    JORDAN HOLLOW STABLES

    Jordan Hollow Stables is a horseback riding stable in Stanley VA – Luray VA offering scenic guided VA trail rides in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. They are a family owned and operated business known for the most beautiful and gentle horses in the valley.     LAKE ARROWHEAD PARK

    Lake Arrowhead is a small, simple, but pretty little park with a sandy beach area where you can swim and a dock where you can fish.  Please note that they only take cash if you visit the beach.

    LURAY CAVERNS

    Luray Caverns is the largest cavern in the eastern United States, yet walking through it feels unlike any place on Earth.  Even if you have been to other caverns, this one really is remarkable!  Admission includes on-site museums and activities.  See the Luray Caverns website HERE for more details.

    LURAY HAWKSBILL GREENWAY

    A 2 mile walking trail, handicap-accessible fishing piers, and a swimming area.  It's a nice paved trail for a morning jog or an evening stroll by the stream after dinner.

    LURAY ZOO

    It's a small little rescue zoo, not a big town attraction, but they have a respectable collection of animals that kids of all ages will enjoy.

      MASSANUTTEN RESORT

      Located about 35-45 minutes from our cabins (depending on where you're staying), Massanutten offers a variety of activities, including an outstanding year-round water park, seasonal snow tubing and other snow sports, and golf.  The resort makes for a great day trip!

      ROUTE 11 POTATO CHIP FACTORY

      Unique flavored potato chips (pickle, Chesapeake Bay Crab, and more) sold at a manufacturing plant. Free samples. See them being made if you check for cooking hours before you go!. Click HERE for more information.

        SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK AND THE GEORGE WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON NATIONAL FOREST

        Nature is calling!  Shenandoah National Park is a land bursting with cascading waterfalls, spectacular vistas, fields of wildflowers, and quiet wooded hollows. With over 200,000 acres of protected lands that are haven to deer, songbirds, and black bear, there's so much to explore...and your journey begins right here!  

        Please note that there is an admission fee for entry for the National Park; admission to the National Forest is free.  

        We find that our guests have a wide variety of preferences with regard to what they will see as well as length, strenuousness, types of hiking trails, so rather than trying to match guests to the best trail to meet those preferences, we find that it's better to refer them to www.alltrails.com, where each of those metrics have been rated by other hikers!

        Shenandoah River Outfitters offers daily trips for all experience levels - beginner rapids and lots of riffles.  Experience nature close up as you float through breathtaking scenery filled with abundant wildlife.
