Frequently Asked Questions

What should I plan to bring?

Our properties offer an equipped kitchen that includes salt, pepper, oil, and all of the cooking and dining utensils you should need.  We also provide all bedding and towels.  We provide firewood from October through April, and we will provide gas and utensils for the grill.  There are also games and cards on the premises.  Come with clothes, toiletries, and a toothbrush, and you should be good to go!

Do you offer wifi?  Will my cell phone work?

We are fortunate to be in a part of Page County where we DO have both high speed Internet.  Please note, though, that our connection speeds vary by property.  All of our cabins' connections are sufficient for basic productivity, audio, and one or two streaming connections at a time - but probably not all of them at the same time.  Cell service works very well at our cabins in Stanley.  Properties in Luray have less reliable coverage, depending upon carrier, but we use a 5G wireless device for Internet at these properties.  As such, you will be able to use your cell phone over Internet if needed.  If you have questions, please contact us.

Do you offer cable or satellite?

We have Smart TVs that you may use for streaming.  Some properties may offer Dish Network.

Do you allow early check in or late check out?

Because our cabins have high occupancy rates AND we are committed to thorough cleanings, we are usually unable to accommodate early check-ins, but feel free to reach out and ask if you need one.  Late departures are also a possibility if you are willing to start some linens.

Do you allow pets?

With an additional per-stay fee, we accept dogs.  Dogs must be house trained, under 75 lbs, and they must not have destructive habits.  Please contact us before booking if you would like to bring a dog.  Sorry; we cannot accept cats under any circumstances.

Do you allow smoking?

Smoking inside the cabin is strictly prohibited and will be subject to a $500 fine.  It is permitted only in the outdoor areas, but please be sure you do not leave cigarette butts on the premises.

Are hiking trails nearby?

Yes!  Page County and the surrounding areas are loaded with hiking, biking, and walking options.  Shenandoah National Park and the George Washington Jefferson National Forest offer some of the best options in the area.  We suggest using the "All Trails" website or app to find the trail that matches what you desire in terms of location, strenuousness, scenery, length, and elevation.

What is your cancellation policy?

Things happen!  We have a flexible cancellation policy, which allows for cancellations so long as they are made 48 prior to arrival.

How will I access the property?

Our properties are equipped with several Smart features, including a Nest Thermostat and a Smart entry lock.  A few days before your arrival, we will email you a code that you will use to unlock and lock the door from the outside.
